Qualifying Person(s): means a person who is registered or eligible to be registered on Tai Teg Affordable Home Ownership Register to be considered in date order with priority being given to: (1) Firstly a Qualifying Person who has lived or worked in the Llanengan Community Council area, or adjacent Community Council area of Botwnnog, Efailnewydd/Buan, Llanbedrog or Abersoch for a continuous period of 5 years immediately preceding the proposed occupation of the property, or who has lived for a continuous period of 5 years in the past and wishes to return, or who has a close family association with the communities, by way of having a close family member (i.e. parents, brother, sister, children, grandparents, step brother/sister/parent/children) resident, and has been resident for at least 5 consecutive years AND who needs to set up a household for the first time and: (a) who does not own a house; (b) who does not own a house and who is living in rented accommodation where they have been living for at least two years; (c) who does own a house but require a new dwelling to meet genuine need (e.g. existing house too small for the family or the existing house is deemed by the Transferor to be of sub-standard condition; or the existing house has been assessed by the Transferor as uneconomical to convert or upgrade to meet the household’s needs); or (2) Secondly a person who has lived or worked outside the Community Council Area and adjacent Community Council area, but within the District (being former Cyngor Dosbarth Dwyfor as at 31st March 1996) , who had lived or worked in the District or within 10 miles as the crow flies, for a continuous period of 5 years immediately preceding the proposed occupation of the Property or is employed as a key profession (i.e. a person who provides important work or services in the Community Council area and have a genuine need to live closer to the local community in order to provide that work or services and determined by the Transferor to have a local housing need by virtue of the need criteria only); or (3) Thirdly a person deemed by the Transferor to be in housing need and with a connection to Gwynedd - lived or worked for a continuous period of 5 years |
