You must meet the Local Connection criteria for affordable housing with priority being given to:

Priority 1:- 10/12/2025 - 04/02/2026 To have lived or worked for 3 years continuously, immediately prior to the proposed occupation of the affordable property in the community of Buckley, or have a strong local connection to the Community, by way of having a parent, brother, sister, child, grandparent or grandchild who is resident in the Ward and who has been resident there for a minimum of three continuous years.Community of Buckley includes the wards of Buckley Bistre West, Buckley Bistre East Buckley Mountain and Buckley Pentrobin.

Priority 2 :- 04/02/2026 - 04/03/2026 As per the S106 the residency criteria should be opened out to neighbouring communities of Northop, Northop Hall, Ewloe, Pen y ffordd,, Leeswood, Argoed and, New Brighton, qualifying criteria as noted above.

Priority 3: 04/03/2026 - 01/04/2026 If no person qualifies in Priority 1 or 2, the qualifying criteria opens out to the whole of Flintshire, with 3 years reduced to 2 years

Priority 4: 01/04/2026 If no person qualifies in Priority 1,2 or 3 the qualifying criteria opens out to thewhole of Flintshire, Denbighshire and Wrexham, with the 3 year period further reduced to 12 months
