Priority 1 - (02/09/2024 - 30/09/2024)

  1. A person who has lived/resided continuously in the Community Council area of Henllan for 5 years as their principle residence immediately preceding the proposed occupation of the Affordable Housing unit.
  2. A person who has previously lived/resided continuously in the Community Council area of Henllan for 5 years and wishes to move back as their principle residence.
  3. A person who has worked continuously in the Community Council area of Henllan for at least 5 years or retired from work in the Community Council area of Henllan within the last 2 years following continuous work in the locality for at least 5 years.
  4. A person who has vacated tied accommodation as their principal residence and which has lived or worked in the Community Council area of Henllan for at least 5 years.
  5. A person who is a Key worker who works in the Community Council area of Henllan and wishes to live in the locality – no qualifying period is necessary.
  6. A person who is moving into the area to look after a close relative/friend who qualifies within (1) above.

Priority 2 - (30/09/2024 - 28/10/2024)

If thereafter no suitable persons are found, the local residency criteria for residence or employment will be opened out to adjoining communities’ council areas of Aberwheeler, Bodfair, Denbigh, Llandyrnog, Llangynhafal, Llanynys, Llanrhaeadr, Nantglyn and Trefnant.

Priority 3 - (28/10/2024 - 25/11/2024)

Where still no eligible persons are found, the locality will be extended outward by 5 mile radius until an eligible person is identified and secured.
